This policy explains what personal data Quite Good Limited collects through quitegood.io and the Ride Buddy app, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are
Quite Good Limited (“we”, “us”) is the controller of your personal data. We are a company registered in England and Wales, number 17460680, with our registered office at Suite RA01, 195-197 Wood Street, London E17 3NU.
For anything about your data, email support@quitegood.io.
This website
quitegood.io uses no cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and it loads no fonts or scripts from other companies.
Our hosting provider keeps server logs for a limited time (usually no more than 30 days). They record your IP address, the page you asked for and your browser type. The logs are used to run the site and protect it from abuse, which is our legitimate interest.
If you email us, we keep your message and your email address so we can reply and keep a record of the conversation.
The launch list
If you join the launch list, we keep your email address and the date you joined so we can tell you when Ride Buddy is available on the App Store and Google Play. Our legal basis is your consent. We send launch news only, and every email has a link to leave the list. We delete the list within three months of launch, unless you create a Ride Buddy account.
The Ride Buddy app
Ride Buddy is not available yet. This section describes what it will collect when it launches. We will update this policy before launch if anything changes.
| What we collect | What we use it for | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Account details: your email address, and your name if you give it | To create your account and contact you about it | Contract |
| Precise location, only if you allow it in your phone’s settings. If you turn on in-ride updates, Ride Buddy also uses your location in the background, during an active ride only. | To plan routes from where you are, give directions, answer questions about what is ahead and send the updates you asked for | Contract. You can switch location off at any time in Settings. |
| Routes and rides: GPX files you import, routes you plan and rides you record | To plan, change, guide and replay your rides | Contract |
| What you ask Ride Buddy, typed or spoken | To answer you and do what you asked | Contract |
| Access to services you connect, such as a bike computer or map app | To send routes and rides to them when you ask | Consent. You can disconnect a service at any time. |
| Technical data: device model, app version and crash reports | To fix problems and keep the app secure | Legitimate interests |
We do not sell your personal data, show you advertising, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
Who we share it with
We use service providers that process data for us, only on our instructions and under contracts that require them to protect it:
- hosting and database providers, which run this website and store the launch list, and will store your account, routes and rides;
- map, routing and satellite imagery providers, which receive locations and routes so they can return maps and directions;
- AI model providers, which process what you ask Ride Buddy so it can answer and plan routes;
- an email provider, which delivers our emails to you.
Ride Buddy sends data to a connected service only after you connect it, and only what you ask it to send. We will also disclose data when the law requires it.
Transfers outside the UK
Some of our providers process data outside the UK. When they do, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum to protect it.
How long we keep it
- Account details, routes and rides: while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete them within 30 days, and they leave our backups within a further 60 days.
- Launch list: until you leave it, and no longer than three months after launch.
- Emails with us: up to two years after the conversation ends.
- Website server logs: usually no more than 30 days.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your personal data;
- correct data that is wrong;
- delete your data;
- limit how we use it, or stop using it where we rely on legitimate interests;
- send your data to you or to another service in a common format (your routes and rides as GPX files);
- withdraw consent you have given, at any time.
Email support@quitegood.io with “Data request” in the subject line. We reply within one month and do not usually charge a fee.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Children
Ride Buddy is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has given us personal data, email us and we will delete it.
Security
We encrypt data in transit, limit who can access it, and ask the same of our providers.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your data, we will tell Ride Buddy users in the app or by email before it takes effect.
